Activity Overview
Our journey commences at Villegas 222, from where we’ll enjoy a scenic 45-minute drive, leaving the vibrant city of Bariloche behind en route to the San Ramón ranch. Are you ready to explore the stunning landscapes of the Patagonian steppe?
Upon arrival at the La Fragua area, the experience begins with a traditional breakfast crafted from fresh, seasonal ingredients, followed by a brief orientation. This session will cover essential aspects such as horse behavior and the unique features of the terrain.
Next, we will embark on a 2-hour horseback journey through undulating terrain, featuring gentle slopes, ascents, and descents, alongside charming small streams. Prepare to be astounded as we navigate through remarkable rock formations and expansive plains.
Along the way, we’ll encounter the typical flora of the semi-arid steppe and, with a bit of luck, be able to spot an Andean condor, as we are situated in one of their primary nesting regions, making sightings quite common.
After our ride, we’ll return to the ranch to savor a traditional Patagonian meal. The meal will include a flavorful barbecue (asado) complemented by chorizo and salad, paired with refreshments such as mineral water, soda, and red wine. Dessert will be served to sweeten the experience and replenish our energy.
Concluding our adventure, you’ll have a brief moment to relax before we head back. We’ll part ways at the original meeting spot after an enriching total of 6 hours.

- The maximum weight limit for participants is 120 kilograms (265 lbs)
- All participants must possess a suitable level of physical fitness to safely mount and dismount the horse
- This activity is not advisable for pregnant individuals or those with back issues
