Excursion Overview

Your adventure begins with a pickup from your hotel in Barranquilla, followed by a comfortable journey by minibus to Cartagena de Indias, the capital of Bolívar.

Upon arrival in Cartagena, you will be greeted by its vivid landmarks and dynamic atmosphere. This coastal city, nestled by the Caribbean Sea, ranks among the most frequented in Colombia. Are you ready to discover its allure?

Our first stop will be the Castillo de San Felipe de Barajas, where you will learn about the fascinating history behind this formidable fortress. Next, we’ll enjoy a traditional Caribbean lunch at a local restaurant, featuring dishes such as fresh fish or classic meats accompanied by coconut rice, a side salad, and a beverage.

With delightful flavors enhancing our experience, we’ll venture into Cartagena’s walled city, uncovering its most picturesque locations, including Las Bóvedas. Here, you will have some leisure time to explore this historic military structure and browse through an array of stalls offering local crafts and jewelry.

Reuniting afterward, we’ll continue our tour through Cartagena’s most recognized landmarks, including Plaza de Santo Domingo, Plaza de Bolívar, Plaza de San Pedro Claver, and Plaza de la Aduana.
