Baru PADI Open Water Diver Course
Day 1: Theoretical Foundations and Confined Water Practice
At the scheduled time, we'll convene at Afrocorales Beach Club in Baru. Here, the diving equipment will be distributed, and you'll acquire essential knowledge related to diving techniques.
You'll receive an overview of how each component of the diving gear functions: proper fitting, underwater orientation, and utilizing air tanks. Additionally, we'll share insights on how to communicate effectively underwater!
Next, we will begin practicing in a safe, controlled water environment, allowing you to apply your newly acquired knowledge. You will discover how to set up and adjust your diving gear, practice breathing techniques underwater, and improve buoyancy control. This foundational practice will help you gain comfort with diving before exploring open waters.
Days 2 & 3: Dives in Open Water
On the second day, we will gather once again at the same meeting point and embark on a thrilling experience with two dives in the remarkable waters of the National Natural Park of Corales del Rosario and San Bernardo Islands. Adorned in our wetsuits, we will not only put your skills to the test but also enjoy the sight of stunning coral formations, vibrant tropical fish, and various marine life.
The third day will feature two additional dives in the crystal-clear surroundings of Baru Island. Prepare to be captivated by its underwater realm, which includes turtles, trumpet fish, parrot fish, barracudas, and much more. The incredible biodiversity beneath the Caribbean waves is sure to leave you in awe!
Upon completion of the course, you'll have the opportunity to take an exam for the official PADI Open Water certification, allowing you to dive at depths of up to 20 metres (65 feet) globally! Don't fret, as you have up to 10 days to study for the theoretical assessments.
