Key Information

Keep in mind that the round trip duration totals around 1.5 hours, necessitating a return to Beijing Capital Airport at least 2.5 hours before your flight's departure. Consequently, the duration of the tour will be four hours less than your layover. For instance, a 5-hour tour is ideal for a 9-hour layover.

Please be aware that this tour is exclusively available for departures and arrivals at Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK). If your arrival is at Beijing-Daxing International Airport (PKK), this itinerary cannot be accommodated due to travel times.

Opening Hours of Monuments

While our tours can be customized, they typically focus on the main attractions in Beijing. Below are the opening hours for these sites:

• The Forbidden City: Open during high season from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, and in low season from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. If your flight lands post-12 pm, access to the Forbidden City will not be possible, and it is closed on Mondays. Hence, alternative sites will be visited on that day. Be aware that entry availability is limited, especially during peak periods, so booking at least 7 days in advance is advisable.
• The Great Wall of China: Open from 8 am to 5:30 pm. Visitors arriving after 2 pm will not be able to enter.

During your visit to the Great Wall, the guide will share historical insights and highlight areas of interest at the foot of the monument. Afterward, you will have leisure time to explore the wall independently, allowing for personal pace without the guide accompanying you during the ascent or along the higher paths.
