Join us on an enriching journey through central Beijing, where we will visit key sites including Tian’anmen Square, the Mao Mausoleum, the Forbidden City, and the hutongs, which represent the city’s rich cultural heritage.

This expedition is particularly suitable for those who wish to experience the Beijing in one day route at a gentler pace. If you can extend your stay to two days, pairing this tour with the Temple of Heaven and Summer Palace excursion will allow a deeper exploration of various landmarks.

Tour Overview

Your adventure begins with a pickup from your hotel lobby at the designated time, leading us first to the iconic Tian’anmen Square.

As the largest square globally and the most significant in the nation, Tian’anmen Square boasts several prominent features, including the Qianmen Gate Tower and the exterior of the Mao Mausoleum.

Exiting the square from the north side, we will approach the Forbidden City, the grandest imperial residence in China, which served as home for 24 emperors over 500 years. A guided walk through its vast complex will reveal its fascinating areas and the captivating tales that accompany them.

After this exploration, you'll have some personal time for lunch and a brief pause.

In the afternoon, we venture through Beijing’s historic hutongs via a rickshaw, a traditional mode of transport. This two-hour journey provides insight into how many locals cherish their historic ties to these neighborhoods, making your experience all the more memorable.

Your day concludes with a return to your hotel or another preferred location after an enriching eight-hour experience.

Flexible Itinerary

This is a private tour, allowing you to tailor your itinerary to your preferences. Discuss your interests with your guide at the tour's start. For instance, if you wish to engage in a contrasts experience involving hutongs, you can opt to visit a park like Jingshan Park, known for its scenic views.

In winter, or on early summer days, the Lama Temple may be added to your tour itinerary.

Exploring the Forbidden City

The Forbidden City is inaccessible every Monday throughout the year. If your arrival in Beijing is on a Monday, we suggest visiting the Great Wall of China or the Temple of Heaven instead.

Be aware that access to the Forbidden City can be limited, especially during peak times. It is advisable to secure your booking at least seven days beforehand.

Documentation Requirements

When making your booking, kindly provide the passport details for all participants. It is crucial to enter accurate passport numbers, as they cannot be modified post-booking. If the number of guests surpasses the fields provided, simply enter “N/A” in any unoccupied fields. Remember to bring your passport on the day of the tour.

Short on Time? Airport Tour Option Available

If you find yourself in Beijing with limited hours, consider reserving our tour available from the airport. Depending on your layover duration, we will guide you to some of the city’s most vital attractions, such as the Great Wall or the Forbidden City.
