Day 1: Arrival in Beijing

Upon landing at Beijing airport, a representative will greet you with a personalized sign. You will then be escorted to your hotel, where you'll spend the next three nights. After checking in, the remainder of the day is yours to relax and acclimate.

Day 2: Exploring Beijing

Starting with a hearty breakfast at the hotel, we will set out to visit iconic sites in the capital. Our first destination is Tiananmen Square, renowned as the largest square globally and a venue for pivotal political gatherings. From here, we will move to the stunning Forbidden City, which houses the Imperial Palace, once the residence of Chinese emperors until 1911.

After approximately 90 minutes for lunch at a traditional local establishment, we will make our way through the historic Hutong streets of Beijing before arriving at Jingshan Park.

Our day will conclude around 5:30 PM, allowing you time to return to the hotel and prepare for a night out in Beijing.

Day 3: Great Wall of China

Your adventure begins early at 8:00 AM as we head from your hotel to the legendary Great Wall of China. Here, we will ascend to the Mutianyu segment via cable car, providing breathtaking views of one of the Seven Modern Wonders of the World.

At 12:30 PM, lunch will be served at a local restaurant, after which we will return to Beijing. During our journey, we will stop at the National Stadium (the Bird's Nest) and the National Aquatics Center (the Water Cube), both constructed for the 2008 Olympic Games. The day wraps up at approximately 5:30 PM.

Day 4: Journey to Shanghai

Following breakfast, we’ll proceed to the Beijing train station, where you will board a high-speed train to Shanghai, a ride lasting around five and a half hours. Upon arrival, a guide will meet you at the station's exit and escort you to your hotel, with the remainder of your day free.

Day 5: Discovering Shanghai

At 9:00 AM, we will gather at the hotel to tour Shanghai’s historic center. Here, we will admire the 1960s-style Shikumen buildings, often referred to as 'Stone Houses', which blend Western and Eastern architectural influences.

Next, we will explore the Yu Garden, a traditional garden established during the Ming dynasty in the 16th century, followed by lunch at a local restaurant.

At about 1:30 PM, our exploration continues down Shanghai's Old Street, where delightful shops offer memorable souvenirs. A stroll along the Bund will provide splendid views of the Oriental Pearl Tower, where you can ascend its first and second spheres. Our day includes a visit to the Shanghai History Museum to delve into the city’s vibrant past.

We will conclude this day’s activities around 5:30 PM, returning you to your hotel.

Day 6: Water Town - Zhujiajiao

After breakfast, we will embark on our first stop to Zhujiajiao, a charming Water Town where the essence of time remains preserved. This place features a collection of traditional homes, dating back over 400 years, once vital for trade and transportation. You’ll enjoy free time to either wander through the delightful streets or opt for a boat tour along the serene canals.

Lunch will be arranged at a local restaurant before we return to our hotel in Shanghai.

Day 7: Free Day in Shanghai

This final day is yours to explore Shanghai at your own pace. Depending on your flight’s schedule, we will arrange your transfer to the airport, officially concluding the tour.

Essential Information

To participate in this tour, ensure you have a flight arriving in Beijing and a flight departing from Shanghai. Your arrival date should coincide with the booking date, and your departure should be seven days afterwards; for example, arriving on Monday and leaving the following Sunday.

Note that there will not be a guide during your high-speed train journey to Shanghai, but a representative will be present upon your arrival.

This 7-day tour package includes four lunch meals, excluding those on the first, fourth, and final days. Breakfast is provided daily during your stay.

For families booking a room with children, please consider the following:

• Children aged 6-11 will have their own bed.
