Excursion to Tripoli

We'll begin our journey with a pick-up at your accommodation in Beirut, embarking on a scenic drive north along the Mediterranean coastline.

After approximately two hours on the road, we will reach Tripoli, recognized as one of the most ancient cities in Lebanon. Upon arrival, our guided exploration will commence with the citadel of Raymond de Saint-Gilles. This remarkable fortress, named after a notable crusader, underwent significant changes after its capture by the Ottomans in the 19th century, influencing its future development.

Continuing our adventure, we will stroll through the souks of Tripoli, immersing ourselves in the vibrant marketplace to discover local products that Lebanon is famous for. Following our market visit, we'll proceed to the Al-Abd baths, which boasts one of the region's earliest hammams.

At this wellness center, you will have the chance to rejuvenate for approximately an hour, indulging in relaxation to revitalize your spirit. After our soothing experience, we'll make our way to the port of Tripoli, where a coastal restaurant awaits us. Here, you can relish a traditional Lebanese fish dish while taking in the beautiful sea views.

Once lunch is concluded, we will travel south to the nearby town of Batroun. A short visit will be made to appreciate its ancient Phoenician walls and gain insights into its rich historical context.

Finally, we will return to Beirut, where we anticipate arriving at your hotel approximately seven hours after our departure.
