Excursion Overview

At the designated time, our team will meet you at your Belgrade hotel, commencing our journey towards the remarkable Danube Valley.

After a scenic 2-hour drive alongside the Danube River, we will reach the Golubac Fortress. This medieval fortress, perched on seemingly insurmountable cliffs, presents a striking silhouette. Its enchanting towers resemble a scene taken from a fantasy narrative. Climbing to the top of one of the towers, you'll be rewarded with spectacular vistas of the surrounding landscape, including an overview of the Danube's Iron Gates, the river’s widest point, framed by stunning nature.

Next, we’ll enjoy a leisurely lunch at a delightful restaurant situated on the banks of the Danube. This is the perfect occasion to taste traditional local dishes while soaking in the breathtaking views of the ?erdap Gorge.

Rejuvenated from our meal, we will embark on a 1-hour boat journey through the Iron Gates Gorge, one of the Danube's most remarkable sections as it winds through Serbia.

After the boat excursion, we will visit the Tabula Traiana, a Roman inscription that honors the monumental engineering accomplishments of Emperor Trajan, who ingeniously created a pathway through the challenging gorge terrain.

Concluding our day, we'll transport you back to your hotel, marking the end of this memorable experience approximately 12 hours later.
