Tour Overview

The adventure begins at the scheduled time at Forte do Presépio. Recognized as the birthplace of the city in 1616, we'll delve into its historical significance and construction, highlighting its role as the first colonial fortification in the Amazon.

Just a short distance away lies the Metropolitan Cathedral of Belém. Originally a modest structure made of mud and straw, it transformed into one of the city's architectural marvels, courtesy of Italian architect Antonio Landi. Its interior boasts the largest organ in all of Latin America!

Next, we head to the Palace Antônio Lemus, which is home to the Belém Art Museum. Here, we will explore the rise of the Amazonian Belle Époque as we admire the museum's lavish spaces. A walk through this venue will reveal the artistic and political developments of the Pará region.

Our final stop will be the Lauro Sodré Palace, an exquisite example of neoclassical architecture, constructed in 1771 within the Cidade Velha district.
