At the scheduled time, we'll meet in Piazza Cardinale Bartolomeo to begin a tour through the mysterious corners of Benevento.

Our journey starts in Rione Triggio, the city's oldest area, where we will uncover the tale of the Mazzamauriello, a folklore goblin known for his pranks.

Next, we’ll explore the legend of La Zoccolara, a ghostly woman said to wander in wooden clogs. We will visit the Roman Theater, which echoes with historical performances.

We will then pause at the Cathedral of Benevento, an 8th-century building that has been rebuilt many times. Afterward, we'll head to the Palace of Paul V, home of the Janua Museum.

Inside, we will learn about the janare, legendary witches known for their midnight gatherings. The museum's exhibits include items linked to these women and ancient potion recipes.

We will continue along Corso Garibaldi to the Arch of Trajan, built between 114 and 117 AD, known for its intricate carvings. Look out for whispers in its reliefs.

Finally, you’ll have free time to sample local specialties, including torroni  (nougat) and liquore strega. We will conclude this five-hour adventure back at the starting point.
