Embark on a distinctive journey with the day trip to the Maestrazgo Mining Park and Culla from Benicassim. This experience includes exploring two historic mines and visiting Culla, recognized as one of Castellón's most picturesque villages.

The adventure begins at 8:55 am by meeting near the Benicassim Tourist Office. From this point, we'll take a minibus to the Maestrazgo Mining Park. This remarkable site features a network of subterranean tunnels extending 2,600 feet (800 meters) underground, alongside breathtaking views of the Upper Maestrazgo area.

Our exploration will take approximately 2 hours as we visit the Victoria and Esperanza mines, two remarkable sites full of historical significance. A train will transport us to the entrance of the Victoria mine, where we will don safety helmets and delve into these fascinating subterranean passages.

Curious about how miners operated centuries ago? What tools were employed? Which minerals were extracted? With the assistance of an expert guide and engaging videos, we will uncover the answers. You will also have the chance to observe the original mining carts, various historical equipment, and the intricate geological formations within the galleries.

Following our visit to Victoria, we will board the train once again to discover the Esperanza mine, appreciating its natural wonders while gaining insights into the miners' daily lives.

Our next destination is Culla, where we will embark on the Temple Route, an intriguing blend of nature and history. As we navigate through the town's historic district, which has been designated an Asset of Cultural Interest, we will explore the influences of various cultures reflected in its charming cobbled streets. Along the way, we will view the 11th-century castle, the granary of the Knight Commander, and the ancient hospital.

Concluding our itinerary, we will return to Benicassim, with an expected arrival time of around 1:40 pm.
