Bergerac: Detailed Walking Tour Itinerary
Our adventure begins at an agreed time outside the Notre Dame church, where we will set out for our personalized exploration of Bergerac.
Starting with a glance at the striking 19th-century neo-Gothic facade, we will make our way into the historic heart of Bergerac. There, the impressive Church of St. Jacques draws attention, and just a short distance behind it is the Place Pelissière, notable for the iconic sculpture of Cyrano de Bergerac.
If you've ever wondered about Cyrano's tale and the myths surrounding his famed nose, you’ll get answers as we stroll along the rue de la Mirpe, renowned for its charming half-timbered houses, showcasing the beauty of old Bergerac.
Your journey will then take you to the Cloître des Recollets, a serene medieval cloister situated in the city's historic center. As we pass the Tobacco Museum, we will make our way to the scenic banks of the Dordogne River to admire its various bridges.
After an enriching hour and a half, our private tour will wrap up as we return to the historic district of Bergerac.
