Description

The Berlin WelcomeCard provides unlimited access to public transportation and offers discounts of up to 50% at over 190 museums and attractions throughout Berlin.

Card Overview

This card allows for unrestricted travel on the U-Bahn, S-Bahn, and bus services across Berlin and nearby regions.

  • AB Zone: Applicable within the Berlin city limits.
  • ABC Zone: Covers Berlin and Potsdam municipalities (including Schönefeld and Brandenburg airports).

It allows travel for one adult and up to three children aged 6 to 14.

Museum Island Insights

If you intend to visit two or more of the five museums located on Museum Island, it is advisable to opt for the 3-day option, which includes entry to these attractions.

Museums on Museum Island comprise:

  • Ancient Museum (Altes Museum)
  • New Museum (Neues Museum)
  • National Antique Gallery (Alte Nationalgalerie)
  • Bode Museum (Bode-Museum)
  • Pergamonmuseum

Please be informed that the Pergamon Museum is currently undergoing maintenance. It is expected to reopen in 2027, with the north wing unveiling the Pergamon Altar to the public.

Adjacent to Museum Island, a new facility hosts the exhibition "Pergamonmuseum. The Panorama!" where visitors can explore the historical context of the altar.

Operational Details

For those choosing the 48-hour ticket, its validity commences at 8 am on your selected date. You can utilize it for the specified duration (48 hours) until 8 am on the final day.

For tickets valid for longer durations (4 days or more), the card will become active when used for the first time and will be valid until midnight on the last day.

Don’t forget to validate the card at first use; thereafter, validation is not necessary.

This card is valid for one adult and three children.

Guide Retrieval

Upon obtaining your Berlin WelcomeCard, you can collect a detailed printed guide from any of the Berlin Tourist Information offices:

  • Berlin Brandenburg Airport: Terminal 1, Level E0. Open daily from 9 am to 9 pm, closing at 5:30 pm on Mondays and Thursdays.
  • Berlin Train Station: Daily from 9 am to 7 pm.
  • Humboldt Forum: Gate 4, Schlüterhof. Open daily from 10 am to 6 pm.
  • Brandenburg Gate: Open daily from 10 am to 6 pm.

Important information

After making your reservation, you'll receive an email with a QR code containing the WelcomeCard.

How does it work?

The card's validity will begin when it is used for the first time on the first day until midnight on the last day.

Remember to validate it the first time you use it. After that, it's no longer necessary.

Each Berlin WelcomeCard is valid for one adult and up to 3 children.

Once you have the Berlin WelcomeCard, you can pick up a complete printed guide by presenting your QR code at any of the Berlin Tourist Information offices:

  • Berlin Train Station: Daily, from 9 am to 7 pm.
