Sightseeing Bus Route & Stops

The tourist bus in Berlin operates on two distinct routes:

• Red Line: This route spans 17 stops through central Berlin and has a duration of 2 hours. Commencing at Ku'Damm, it features iconic sites including the Brandenburg Gate, Museum Island, and the Reichstag.
• Blue Line: Covering 4 stops in eastern Berlin, this 40-minute journey visits key locations such as Alexanderplatz and the East Side Gallery.

Boat Ride

When booking your ticket, you have the option to enhance your experience with a 1-hour boat cruise along the River Spree. This cruise departs from stop 2 on the Red Line at Museum Island.

Enjoy live commentary in both English and German while admiring Berlin’s landmarks from a unique perspective, gliding past historical buildings alongside contemporary architecture along the riverbanks.

The boat journey is available from March to November, with departures at 11:15 am, 12:45 pm, 2:15 pm, 3:45 pm, and 5:15 pm. The last cruise of the day at 5:15 pm operates only from March 29 through November 2.

Ticket Options

During your reservation process, select from the following ticket types:

• 24-hour ticket: Grants unlimited access to Big Bus Berlin services on the Red Route for 24 hours.
• 48-hour ticket: Provides unlimited travel on both routes for 48 hours, a taste of classic German Currywurst, and an English walking tour of Berlin.
• 24-Hour Ticket with Boat Tour: Access to the Red Route for 24 hours, inclusive of the boat cruise.
• 48-Hour Ticket with Boat Tour: Combines the benefits of the 48-hour ticket with the additional boat trip.

The famous Currywurst (included in the 48-hour option) can be sampled daily at the Curry Wolf eateries located at Rankestrasse 36 (stop 1) and Unter den Linden (stops 12 and 13).

The walking tour (exclusive to the 48-hour ticket) lasts 1.5 hours and navigates through significant historical aspects of Berlin, from the inception of the Third Reich to the end of the Cold War and the dismantling of the Berlin Wall.

This guided excursion operates daily at 2 pm (subject to change), beginning at the Brandenburg Gate (stop 13) and concluding at Checkpoint Charlie (stop 6).

Note: Starting in May 2026, the walking tour will feature an audioguide for enhanced experience.

Schedules & Frequencies

• Red route: Service from 10 am to 4 pm, with departures every 20-30 minutes.
• Blue route: Operating from 10:15 am to 4:15 pm, every 60 minutes.

Operation of the Berlin Sightseeing Bus

Your ticket remains valid for either 24 or 48 hours from its first use. You can board and disembark from the buses as often as you desire throughout this period. Although you will need to specify a start date when booking, you have the flexibility to activate your ticket anytime within a 6-month window from your selected date.

Concerning the boat trip option, please be informed that it can be utilized for a single ride only.
