Tour Overview

We will depart from Bilbao, setting off towards San Sebastián and Guetaria. Our first destination will be a 16th-century Basque farmhouse, formerly a cider press, where we will delve into the history of this traditional beverage. Here, you will have the opportunity to savor the naturally produced Basque apple juice.

Continuing on, we will arrive at San Sebastián, the heart of Guipúzcoa. Our journey will start with a visit to the Iguledo Mountain viewpoint, offering breathtaking views of La Concha Beach.

Next, we will stroll through the historic district of San Sebastián, where we’ll learn about its architectural highlights. After this insightful tour, you will enjoy 1.5 hours of free time perfect for indulging in lunch at one of the city's iconic pintxo bars.

Once we’ve reenergized, we will regroup and travel towards Guetaria, passing through Zarautz, a picturesque coastal town sure to captivate you. In Guetaria, a guided exploration of the old town awaits us. Highlights will include its charming fishing port, the San Salvador church, and the tribute monument to Juan Sebastián Elcano.

As our adventure concludes, we will make our way back to Bilbao, wrapping up our day nine hours later.

Tour + Loyola Shrine Visit

When making your reservation, you have the option of including a stop at the Loyola Sanctuary. In this scenario, we will first visit this remarkable site, constructed in the 16th and 17th centuries. A tour of its magnificent basilica and the birthplace of Ignatius of Loyola, a key historical figure in the region, will follow.

Traveling through Azpeitia and along the scenic coastline by Zumaia, we will reach Guetaria, a charming fishing village set against lush hills. Here, you will enjoy free time to explore its historic center. Be sure to see the Arco de Catrapona (a medieval archway), the Parish Church of San Salvador (a stunning 15th-century Gothic structure), and the fishing port, lined with narrow lanes brimming with eateries and local taverns.

Our journey continues through Zarautz to arrive at San Sebastián, recognized as one of Spain's most beautiful cities. After a panoramic exploration of the city, including sites like La Concha beach and Mount Igueldo with its spectacular views, we will take a leisurely walk through the historic center.

After completing our tour, you will have free time to savor some of the finest cuisine available. Our guide will happily suggest both pintxos bars and more upscale dining options.

With lovely San Sebastián behind us, we will commence our return to Bilbao following a memorable 9-hour excursion.
