Join us for a day excursion to San Sebastián, Hondarribia, Hendaye , and Getaria starting from Bilbao, where we will uncover the delights of Gipuzkoa's capital and explore some of the most picturesque towns in the Basque Country.

Day Trip Overview

We'll gather at the Puppy flower sculpture, located adjacent to the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, from where we’ll proceed towards the east.

Our journey begins in Hendaye, as we cross into France. Here, amidst the French Basque Country, a guided tour lasting 45 minutes awaits, showcasing the town's beautiful seaside promenade and elegant architecture.

Next, we'll venture to the picturesque Hondarribia, also just over the border. This charming locale offers a similar delightful 45-minute guided tour, highlighting its stunning waterfront and architectural charm.

Following this, we will travel to the refined San Sebastián. Our visit will begin at the magnificent Palacio de Miramar and its surrounding gardens, a prime spot for capturing views of Bahia de la Concha and the city skyline. Next, we will move into the city center, passing by the impressive Puente de María Cristina. In San Sebastián, enjoy some free time to wander through its vibrant old town, where you can visit the historic Town Hall and the magnificent Basilica de Santa María. This is also your chance to sample the renowned Basque pintxos that have made the city famous.

Our final destination will be the quaint town of Getaria, birthplace of the celebrated designer Cristóbal Balenciaga. Here, we'll take a brief guided tour to reveal the town's most noteworthy spots, allowing time to soak in the unique landscape and atmosphere. For those interested, an option to visit the esteemed Balenciaga Museum will be available.

We will then return to our original meeting point in Bilbao, wrapping up this enriching 10.5-hour day adventure.
