At 8 am, our team will collect you from your accommodation in Boca del Río, embarking on a southern route towards the coastal town of Alvarado.

This delightful town is nestled at the confluence of the Blanco and Papaloapan rivers, where its thriving industry of fishing emerged. As we wander through the vibrant streets, your guide will share captivating stories about Pedro de Alvarado, the city's founder.

Next, we’ll journey to the Papaloapan River for a scenic boat ride. You can take in the lush green landscapes that adorn the riverbanks.

Following our time in Alvarado, we'll proceed to the city of Tlacotalpan, a delightful blend of Caribbean and Spanish heritage. A guided tour will lead us through the city's iconic sites, including the Church of the Virgin of the Candelaria and the House-Museum dedicated to the renowned musician and poet, Agustín Lara.

After exploring, we will return to the Papaloapan River for another boat ride, providing more opportunities to enjoy the rich greenery along the river’s edge.

To conclude our excursion, you'll have around 2 hours to enjoy lunch. Take this opportunity to savor the delectable local cuisine of Tlacotalpan at one of the area’s charming restaurants.

Once lunch is over, we’ll make our way back to your hotel in Boca del Río, arriving around 6 pm.
