Day Excursion to El Tajín & Papantla

Our journey begins with a pickup from your hotel in Boca del Río, as we travel north towards El Tajín.

This archaeological site stands as one of the most well-preserved illustrations of the Totonac heritage. You will explore the magnificent Pyramid of Los Nichos and gain insights into one of the most significant ancient cultures of Mexico.

Following the exploration of the ruins, we'll visit a nearby area with various dining options, allowing you about an hour and a half for lunch (not included).

After your meal, we will proceed to the El Tajín Museum, where your guide will delve into the captivating history of the Totonac people, highlighting their customs and way of life.

Next, we will head to the city of Papantla. Here, you will embark on a guided exploration, discovering key sites such as the local cathedral and a mural depicting Totonac artistry.

As the tour concludes, we will return you to your hotel in Boca del Río around 8:30 pm.
