Following our exploration of this iconic site, the itinerary will lead us to Chía, where a table awaits you at the renowned Andrés Carne de Res restaurant for a delightful culinary experience.
Tour Overview
Your adventure begins with a pick-up from your hotel in Bogotá at the specified time, and we'll set off heading north to the Zipaquirá Cathedral of Salt, which holds the status of one of the top attractions in Colombia.
Enjoy a guided exploration through this extraordinary church, situated within a salt mine at a depth of 180 meters. This approximately 2-hour tour will showcase an impressive altar meticulously carved from salt. Additionally, you will encounter the sculptures representing the Stations of the Cross, illustrating the story of Jesus's crucifixion.
Following our visit to the Cathedral, take advantage of 40 minutes of leisure time to browse for souvenirs in the shopping area found just outside the cathedral. Afterward, we will continue our journey to Chía, where the illustrious Andrés Carne de Res restaurant awaits.
Here, a reserved table will be ready for you. As you savor a delicious meal (at your own cost), enjoy the vibrant atmosphere with a live music performance. Let the rhythms of merengue, salsa, and bachata inspire you to dance to the engaging Latin melodies.
Upon finishing your meal, we will head back to Bogotá, with an estimated total duration of around 10 hours for this experience.
Salt Cathedral Admission
For those who prefer, there's an option to reserve the tour without admission to the Salt Cathedral. In this scenario, you will need to acquire your own tickets.

- 6:30 am: hotels in Chapinero. We'll pick you up from your chosen hotel in the neighbourhood.
- 7 am: TransMilenio de Las Aguas Station, on Avenue 19, in front of Icetex.
- 7:40 am: Nemesio Camacho El Campín Stadium, at the side of Carrera 30.
- 8:30 am: TransMilenio Station on Street 142, beside the South-North freeway.
