Activity Overview
Your journey will commence at your designated pick-up point in Bogotá at the scheduled time. Following this, we will embark on a picturesque 50-minute drive towards the municipality of La Vega, a true haven for coffee enthusiasts and nature lovers alike.
En route, we will stop at Alto del Vino, recognized as one of the region's highest elevations. Here, you can indulge in a traditional breakfast featuring delightful toast and eggs, providing the perfect energy boost for the day's explorations.
After breakfast, we will proceed to the renowned Gallito Torres coffee farm. Upon arrival, an off-road vehicle will transport us along rural paths, allowing us to navigate through scenic fields. You'll discover various local coffee varieties and experience the thrill of harvesting ripe beans firsthand.
Following the coffee harvesting, participate in a workshop where you can brew your own cup of coffee. During this session, you will delve into traditional extraction methods that are sure to excite your taste buds! To complement this experience, we will later savor a typical lunch prepared with fresh, seasonal ingredients.
Our next destination will be the mystical Laguna El Tabacal. Guided by nature trails, you will unravel the history behind this sacred site revered by the indigenous community in the area. Get ready to explore one of Colombia's most intriguing lakes!
Did you know that this lake was once a site for offerings and rituals? Legends speak of hidden treasures beneath its waters! As we stroll along its shores, you'll learn fascinating details about this natural wonder while absorbing the unique energy surrounding the area.
Before returning to Bogotá, we will make a visit to a traditional handicrafts shop in La Vega, offering you the opportunity to purchase a unique souvenir if you wish.
Your adventure will conclude after approximately 7 to 8 hours, at which point we will return you to your original starting location.
