La Candelaria Bike Tour

Embracing exercise and exploration has never been simpler! This cycling excursion through La Candelaria, the heart of Bogotá, offers an excellent way to witness the top sights of Colombia's capital.

Overview of the Tour

We will convene at the designated time at the Plazoleta del Chorro de Quevedo to commence an engaging cycling journey through Bogotá's historical core. Are you ready to uncover the city while working out? You're in for a delightful experience!

Over the course of three hours, we will traverse the main avenues, pausing at notable landmarks, including Independence Park, one of Bogotá's oldest parks, dedicated to celebrating the first hundred years of independence.

In close proximity, we will find the Bogotá Planetarium and the Bogotá Museum of Modern Art (MAMBO). Soon after, we will arrive at Plaza de Bolívar, which houses the capital’s key monuments, such as the Primada Cathedral, the National Capitol, and the Mayor's Office. This segment of our ride will delve into Colombia's colonial history.

Bogotá is recognized as one of the premier cities in Latin America for cycling, ensuring a pleasant experience throughout our adventure.

We will bike along Calle 72 towards Carrera Séptima, where we can admire the Four Seasons Casa Medina and explore the European influences evident in the architecture of Chapinero. We will also pass several prominent private universities before making our way to the Bogotá International Centre.

As we approach the conclusion of our journey, we will bike through the Enrique Olaya Herrera National Park, celebrated as an open-air museum. We will continue toward Parkway Boulevard, a picturesque, tree-lined avenue in the La Soledad neighborhood.

Eventually, we will make our relaxed journey back to the starting point, wrapping up the biking tour after three transformative hours.
