Activity Details

At the scheduled time, we will meet you at your hotel in Bogotá and transfer you to Sabana Station, marking the commencement of our train journey. Let’s embark on this adventure!

Upon arriving at the station, a vibrant ensemble of musicians and staff will welcome you, surrounded by enchanting sounds of Andean folklore, carranga, and even a heartfelt serenade. We will board the train, drawn by either a steam or diesel locomotive, and travel across the Bogotá savannah, enjoying the energetic atmosphere on board.

After approximately two hours of travel, we’ll reach Zipaquirá. Here, you will have 4.5 hours of leisure time to discover the renowned Salt Cathedral, a stunning underground masterpiece nestled within a mine. Additionally, you will partake in a 1 hour and 15 minutes guided tour through the city's historic center, where you can savor local specialties such as almojábanas, arepas, and the quintessential masato.

We will then return to Bogotá on the train, continuing to enjoy the celebratory ambiance aboard. Upon arrival at Sabana Station, we'll keep you comfortable by escorting you back to your hotel, concluding a total of 10 hours dedicated to exploration.

Hotel Pickup

This experience includes pickup from hotels in Chapinero, Zona T, La Candelaria, and Parque 93. If your accommodation lies outside these areas, we will reach out post-booking to organize a convenient meeting point.

Please be aware that tickets at the train station cannot be reserved in advance. If no tickets are available on the day of the tour, alternative transportation via minibus will be utilized. This option will also apply if the train is undergoing maintenance.
