While in Bogotá, take the time to explore the historic district of La Candelaria, where you can marvel at vibrant street art and visit the Gold Museum. Another recommended activity is ascending Monserrate Hill for breathtaking panoramic views of the city.
Your adventure continues in Zipaquirá, home to the renowned Salt Cathedral, an astonishing architectural wonder carved into the depths of a salt mine, situated 180 meters (590 feet) underground. The picturesque historic center of Zipaquirá features stunning colonial architecture, including the significant Cathedral of the Holy Trinity.
How it Works
When making your reservation, you have three options to choose from:
- One-way to Zipaquirá: we will collect you from your hotel in northern Bogotá and take you to your desired destination in Zipaquirá, whether that be the city center or the Salt Cathedral. For accommodations in southern Bogotá, the pick-up will occur at the National Museum.
- One-way to Bogotá: we will pick you up from your hotel in Zipaquirá or at the Salt Cathedral.
- Round-trip transport: the most comprehensive option, providing you with a journey to Zipaquirá and back to your departure point on the same day.
Departure Schedules
Regardless of whether you opt for pickup from a hotel or a designated meeting point, the following schedules will apply:
- For transport from Bogotá to Zipaquirá, pickup is scheduled for 7 am.
- For transport from Zipaquirá to Bogotá, pickup is set for 4 pm.
- Choosing the round-trip option means the same departure: leave at 7 am and return at 4 pm.
Children Under 3 Years Old
Children under the age of 3 can travel without charge, provided they sit on a parent's or guardian's lap during the journey.
Salt Cathedral Ticket
To ensure your entry into the Salt Cathedral during your visit, we suggest reserving the Salt Cathedral of Zipaquirá ticket in advance.

Important information
Transportation from Bogotá to Zipaquirá
On the day of the transport service, we will pick you up at 7 am from your hotel in the North Zone of Bogotá. We recommend being ready 15 minutes in advance.
If you are staying in the South Zone of Bogotá, we will pick you up at the scheduled time at the National Museum (Museo Nacional), located at: Ak 7 #N. 28-66, Bogotá, Colombia.
Transportation from Zipaquirá to Bogotá
If you have chosen the route from Zipaquirá to Bogotá, we will pick you up at 4 pm at the meeting point selected during your booking: either your hotel in Zipaquirá or the entrance to the Salt Cathedral.
In all cases, the local team will get in touch with you one day before the transport service to confirm all pickup details and final schedules.
Children Under 3
Please note that children under 3 years old travel for free, but they must sit on the lap of their parents or guardians.
