Tour Overview

We'll convene at the designated meeting point on Minas Street in Bolaños de Calatrava. Once the group is complete, our adventure begins with a visit to a local cheese factory, which will feature a cheese-making workshop lasting 2 hours.

To kick things off, we’ll don the appropriate attire for the factory tour while receiving initial insights into the traditional techniques of Castilla-La Mancha's iconic cheese production. Throughout the workshop, we'll carefully execute fundamental processes including filtering and pasteurization.

As we await the cheese's maturation, we will explore the cheese factory's facilities, gaining knowledge about the rich history of this dairy delight and the various cheese types produced in Bolaños. To round off our exploration, we’ll indulge in a tasting of diverse cheeses created right here.

Upon returning to the workshop, we will engage in the turning and molding process, culminating in creating our very own cheese!

Finally, we’ll enjoy a light snack and conclude our visit to the factory in Bolaños de Calatrava after approximately 3 hours.
