Description
Prepare to immerse yourself in the stunning landscapes of the southern Corsican coast! This boat excursion around Bonifacio and the Lavezzi Islands offers the chance to explore a mesmerizing archipelago in the heart of the Mediterranean.
Boat Ride Overview
Are you ready to explore the southern Corsican coastline? On the designated day, our adventure will commence at the Pontons de Sant’Amanza Marina, which is conveniently situated on the outskirts of Bonifacio.
Our voyage will take us along the most southern stretch of Corsica, aboard a boat that accommodates a maximum of 9 passengers, allowing for an intimate small group experience.
During the journey, you'll be treated to picturesque views of Corsica's rugged coastline, including notable spots like the Plage de Balistra and the Baie de Piantarella. Continuing our exploration, we’ll sail by the idyllic sandbanks at Plage de Sperone and the Crique de Fazzio, a hidden cove featuring vibrant turquoise waters. For those participating from June to September, we will anchor at one of these enchanting locations, providing an opportunity to snorkel and enjoy a refreshing swim in the Mediterranean.
As we progress along the southern coastline, delight in the stunning cliffs and sea caves of the Bouches de Bonifacio Nature Reserve. From the boat, various highlights of this protected area can be observed, including the remarkable King of Aragon's staircase, a breathtaking ascent of 187 steps carved into the rock face.
While sailing, you will catch glimpses of the Le Grain de Sable stone, the Belvédère du Torrione, and the historical military site of Le Gouvernail de la Corse. As we leave Bonifacio behind, we’ll set our course for the Lavezzi Islands Nature Reserve, an exquisite archipelago positioned between southern Corsica and northern Sardinia.
We will navigate around the shores of these islands, and for those taking the boat ride in the summer months, there's an opportunity to snorkel in the pristine waters. If conditions permit, keep an eye out for diverse forms of local marine life, including rays, groupers, and possibly dolphins.
In conclusion, after a captivating journey lasting between 4 and 5 hours, we will return to our original departure point.
