Your journey through the Cité du Vin will immerse you in the captivating world of Bordeaux’s distinguished wine culture, showcasing a rich history of viticulture that spans centuries.
Upon arriving, simply exchange your voucher at the priority entrance, and you’ll begin your adventure within the wine museum, housed in a sprawling, architecturally impressive space.
As you navigate through the 20 themed sections of the museum, you'll gain insight into the evolution of this cherished drink and the reasons behind Bordeaux's reputation for producing some of the finest wines globally.
After absorbing the variety of wines crafted along both banks of the Garonne River, take the opportunity to savor a glass or two at the museum’s Belvedere. From its elevated terrace, you can take in the breathtaking vistas of Bordeaux.
Visiting Hours
The Cité du Vin welcomes guests every day at the following times:
- From November 2, 2025 to April 3, 2026: 10 am to 6 pm
- From April 4 to October 31, 2026: 10 am to 7 pm. Extended hours until 7 pm will also be available on March 7, 14, 21, and 28, 2026.
- From November 1, 2026, to January 3, 2027:
- Midweek and Sundays: from 10 am to 6 pm
- Saturdays: from 10 am to 7 pm
- Notable Closures:
- On December 24, the museum will close at 4 pm
- Closed entirely on December 25

Please show this voucher at the priority ticket office at the Wine Museum (134 Quai de Bacalan). You don't need to queue up to receive the ticket.

- From November 2, 2025 to April 3, 2026: 10 am to 6 pm
- From April 4 to October 31, 2026: 10 am to 7 pm. It will be open until 7 pm on Saturdays in March (March 7, 14, 21 and 28, 2026)
- From November 1, 2026 to January 3, 2027:
- Midweek and on Sundays, from 10 am to 6 pm
- On Saturdays, from 10 am to 7 pm
- Special closures:
- On December 24 (2025 and 2026), it closes at 4 pm
- Fully closed on December 25 (2025 and 2026)
