Walking Tour of MIT

We'll gather at Main Street at your chosen time to initiate our tour of the MIT campus, which is recognized as the foremost technology university in the United States. Our journey will commence at the Stata Center, notable for its Gates and Dreyfoos Buildings.

Following this, we will make our way to the Green Building, the tallest edifice on campus and throughout all of Cambridge. This 21-story structure houses the Earth, Atmospheric, and Planetary Sciences departments. You might be interested to learn that some of the most influential figures who studied at MIT include Tim Berners-Lee (the creator of the World Wide Web), William Hewlett (co-founder of Hewlett Packard), and Alfred P. Sloan (CEO of General Motors).

Our exploration will also lead us to the Great Dome, the most iconic landmark on the campus, where we’ll delve into the rich traditions cherished by MIT students. Afterwards, we’ll stroll along Massachusetts Avenue to reach Harvard Bridge, the longest bridge that spans the Charles River.

Additionally, we’ll pass by Lobby 7, which connects to the Infinite Corridor, an impressive passage that traverses MIT's main buildings. Measuring 800 ft (251 metres), this corridor serves as one of the primary entries to the campus. The tour will conclude here after approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes.
