4x4 Adventure in Chaves Region
Your journey begins with a pickup from your accommodation in Boticas at a time that suits you. We will make our way to Chaves, approximately a 30-minute drive, in a 4x4 vehicle or minibus.
Our first stop will be the remarkable medieval castle of Chaves, a site steeped in rich history filled with legends and tales. We will explore the fascinating narratives surrounding the São Francisco and São Neutel forts, two impressive structures nestled in the heart of the historic quarter. Before departing Chaves, there will be a brief visit to the ancient Roman bridge spanning the Tâmega River, commissioned by Emperor Trajan.
Next, we'll make our way along Nacional 2, Portugal’s longest road, where we will reach the notable Kilometre Zero. Our last stop will take us to the thermal baths, where we will delve into the story behind this significant public facility and its role as a social hub during its time.
After a fulfilling half-day of exploration, we will return to your hotel in Boticas.

Note that hotel pickup is available for locations within a 2-kilometer (1.2-mile) radius of Boticas center. For those staying beyond this range, please make your way to the meeting point located in Chaves: Alameda das Caldas, adjacent to the spa.
