Our journey begins promptly at 9 am in the Bribri Talamanca Indigenous Territory, where our knowledgeable guide will greet us. Let the adventure commence!
We will board a canoe for a scenic ride lasting approximately one and a half hours, heading towards the shoreline closest to the Yorkín indigenous community. Upon arrival, a brief 15-minute walk will lead us to our destination.
Upon reaching the village, we will receive a warm welcome from community members who will offer us snacks before escorting us to the ranch where we will stay overnight. Following this, we’ll embark on a guided exploration of the village, gaining insight into local traditions and environmental initiatives.
We will conclude the day by discovering the cocoa preparation process, from harvesting the pods to crafting our own jícara. The highlight will be tasting the freshly made chocolate!
Day 2: Yorkín Indigenous Community to Bribri
