Known widely as “The Venice of the North”, Bruges is one of Europe's most charming medieval towns. This day trip from Brussels offers an opportunity to discover this captivating city along with a knowledgeable guide fluent in English.
Tour Options
When organizing your excursion to Bruges from Brussels, you have the choice of the following alternatives:
Guided Tour Only
At the appointed time, we will gather in front of Brussels Central Station. From here, we’ll embark on a brief panoramic bus tour of Brussels. Afterward, we’ll depart from the capital heading towards the Flanders region in northern Belgium.
After a drive of about 1.5 hours, we will reach Bruges. Welcome to the Venice of the North! Upon arrival, a short panoramic tour of Bruges will begin. While still on the bus, we’ll pass by the Kruisvest windmills and the historic gates, Kruispoort and Gentpoort.
Our bus tour will conclude at Bargeplein. Here, we’ll exit the vehicle to commence a walking tour of Bruges.
During our exploration, we will visit the scenic Lake of Love, the delightful Walplein square, the narrow Stoofstraat alley, and the Beguinage, a site established in 1245 as a home for Benedictine nuns.
As we move through Bruges' heart, we’ll encounter iconic landmarks like the medieval St. John's Hospital, the Church of Our Lady, the Grote Markt square, and St. Salvator's Cathedral.
Following our walking adventure through the old quarter, you will have approximately 5 hours of free time in Bruges for lunch and leisurely exploration.
In the afternoon, we’ll reconvene at Bargeplein park to begin our bus journey back to the meeting point in Brussels, concluding this roughly 10-hour day trip.
Guided Tour + Boat Ride
This option follows the same itinerary outlined previously, but includes an added experience of a scenic boat ride along the canals of Bruges, offering a unique vantage point of the city.

Important information
Meet your guide at the exit “Grand Place” in the Brussels Central Station, in front of the Hilton Hotel, in Carrefour de L’Europe.
Bruges has a new measure for all tourist-guided tours. On occasion, our local provider must use a radio with individual headsets. Since throw-away headphones contaminate, we recommend you bring your own to help the environment. If you don't have any, the company will offer you some throw-aways for just 1EUR.

Additional Info
Belgian regulations require the use of radio guides in certain situations, making it mandatory to wear headphones. You can bring your own (with a 3.5 mm jack, approximately 0.14 inches, and not wireless) or purchase disposable ones for 1EUR.

If the client does not show up on time at the agreed meeting point, Buendía Tours SPRL reserves the right to start the tour or trip without the client. In this case, the client must understand that there will be no refund from the company.
Buendía Tours SRRL is not responsible for the loss of customers' personal or valuable objects.
Children Under 2
Children under 2 years old must travel on the bus in a baby seat. Please remember to bring your own car seat so that babies can participate in the activity.
