On this Ghent day trip from Brussels, you'll explore this UNESCO World Heritage site, one of the best-preserved medieval cities in Europe, with an English-speaking guide. The tour includes a stop at the famous Atomium.
Tour Details
The full-day tour begins with boarding a bus at Brussels Central Station at the scheduled time. Before departing Brussels, there will be a stop at the Atomium, a monument over 100 meters high representing the nine provinces of Belgium.
Upon arrival in Ghent, your guide will lead you through the city center, where you will see the Castle of Gerald the Devil, the famous painting "The Adoration of the Mystic Lamb" in St Bavo’s Cathedral, the 91-meter belfry, and the Town Hall.
You will also visit Saint Nicholas’ Church, the Masons’ Guild House, Graslei port, Castle of the Counts of Flanders, Patershol district, and the Friday Market Square. After the guided portion, you will have approximately four hours to explore Ghent at your leisure, including enjoying a traditional Belgian lunch and shopping for souvenirs like chocolates.
The tour concludes after 9.5 hours, returning to the center of Brussels.

Meet your guide at the exit “Grand Place” in the Brussels Central Station, in front of the Hilton Hotel, in Carrefour de L’Europe.
Ghant has regulations for the management of sightseeing tourists. Occasionally, our local supplier must use a radio with individual headsets. Since throw-away headphones contaminate, we recommend you bring your own to help the environment. If you don't have any, the company will offer you some disposable ones for just 1EUR.
