At the specified time, we invite you to meet us to explore the enigmas of Europe’s capital at the Grand Place, right in front of the city hall. Our adventure will commence here on this captivating mysteries and legends tour of Brussels. Are you excited to step outside the usual paths and witness a fresh perspective on Brussels?
The journey begins as we wander around the stunning Grand Place, a perfect launch point for our exploration, given that the ornate structures that frame the square conceal numerous stories. By examining the golden façades, we'll uncover elusive symbols. Legend suggests that this was the site where the Philosopher's Stone was discovered. Could there be truth to this tale?
We will then proceed to Place Saint-Jean, where the statue of Gabrielle Petit stands. Are you familiar with her role as a spy during World War I? Following this, our path will take us by the Anneessens Tower, a remarkable fortress that formed part of the city's defensive First Wall established in the 13th century. What secrets from its history may we uncover?
As we continue, we will stroll down the picturesque Rue de Rollebeek until we reach the impressive Church of Our Lady of Victories at the Sablon. As we take in the magnificent façade of this 15th-century church, we'll share captivating insights about its storied past. Nearby, we will also explore the lovely Place du Petit Sablon, revealing more spine-chilling narratives related to the history of the Belgian capital.
