Bryce Canyon Stargazing Tour
Description
The Bryce Canyon National Park is known for having one of the most pristine night skies in North America. In this experience, you will spend a remarkable night beneath the Milky Way, unveiling the mysteries of the universe with guidance from knowledgeable astronomers and the use of advanced telescopes.
Stargazing at Bryce Canyon
At the scheduled time, we will collect you from your chosen location in Bryce Canyon City. From there, we will journey into the celestial wonder that awaits us. Prepare to be mesmerized by the vast expanse of the night sky!
Following a brief overview of the incredible darkness characteristic of this Utah region, we will prepare to gaze at the heavens like never before.
With the assistance of a skilled astronomy guide, we will employ state-of-the-art telescopes to find constellations, planets, and faraway star clusters. Depending on seasonal conditions, you may have the chance to closely observe the rings of Saturn, the moons of Jupiter, and striking nebulae that appear to hover above us.
Throughout the evening, your guide will blend scientific knowledge with intriguing tales, bringing the universe to life. Additionally, you will learn basic astrophotography techniques to capture stunning photographs using your camera or smartphone, ensuring you leave with a memorable keepsake of the night.
To enhance your comfort during this experience, we will provide seating, blankets, and warm beverages. After a 1.5-hour exploration of the night sky, we will conclude the stargazing session at our initial meeting point.
Tour Options
During the reservation process, you can select one of the following tour options. Both are 1.5 hours long and include an English-speaking guide, transportation, and access to professional telescopes.
- Sunset Tour: this option is designed for those who wish to commence their astronomical journey in the early hours of the night. We will take advantage of the moment when the stars start appearing in the Utah sky to locate key constellations and celestial bodies that can be observed.
- Midnight Tour: this tour starts around midnight, at the time when the sky is at its clearest and darkest. As we distance ourselves from any slight light pollution, we will appreciate the cosmos in all its glory, allowing us to look upon galaxies and deep-sky objects that are typically unseen by the naked eye.
