Tour Details
Your adventure begins with a convenient pickup from your hotel in Bucaramanga, leading you into an exploration that intertwines spirituality, heritage, and history, as we make our way to the city’s most iconic churches and their surroundings.
Your first destination is the Parroquia del Sagrado Corazón de Jesús, where you will have the opportunity to delve into its intriguing catacombs, a remarkable space that links the religious aspect with the historical narrative of the city. Following this, we'll make our way to the San Francisco neighborhood to visit the Parroquia de San Francisco de Asís, unveiling the contributions of the Franciscan order to the area.
In the heart of Bucaramanga, we will appreciate the Catedral Metropolitana de la Sagrada Familia, a cornerstone of the city’s religious architecture. This will be followed by a leisurely walk around the Parque Santander, surrounded by historic buildings such as the Club del Comercio and the former Hotel Bucarica.
Next, we will arrive at the Parroquia de San Laureano, one of Bucaramanga's oldest churches, ideally situated near Parque García Rovira and the Plaza Cívica Luis Carlos Galán, which stands at the center of the region's political and administrative activities.
We’ll then traverse the impressive Viaducto de la Novena bridge towards the charming town of Girón, recognized as part of the La Red Turística de Pueblos Patrimonio in Colombia. Here, a visit to the Basílica Menor Santuario del Señor de los Milagros awaits, along with a stroll along its picturesque cobbled streets adorned with white-washed buildings, where you can savor a cup of award-winning specialty coffee.
Concluding our exploration, we will ascend to the Cerro del Santísimo, a breathtaking natural and spiritual site that presents a panoramic view of the entire metropolitan landscape.
