Bucay Waterfalls Expedition

Join us at the Bucay Traffic Commission office as we embark on our excursion to the Bucay Waterfalls!

A bus will transport us deep into the heart of the Guayas jungle. Once we arrive, a 10-minute trek along winding trails awaits, showcasing the vibrant biodiversity of the Cloud Forest.

Continuing on our adventure, we will arrive at Las Mellizas Waterfalls, which soar between 45 to 60 meters (147-196 feet). Here, you’ll have the opportunity to relish some leisure time for a refreshing swim in the cool waters at the base of the falls.

Our journey will lead us further with an additional 20-minute walk to Chorrera del Amor, cascading from 30 meters (98 feet), and La Isabela, the grandest waterfall in Bucay, with a stunning drop of 90 meters (295 feet). More precious free time will be allotted for enjoying the natural swimming pools amidst these breathtaking vistas.

Next, we will visit a typical trapiche, a traditional mill designed for extracting juices from the delicious fruits in the area. Here, you will have the chance to engage in this time-honored process and create your own glass of fresh juice.

We’ll cap off our outing with a delightful picnic-style lunch featuring soup, a hearty main course, and of course, fresh-squeezed juice.

After spending 5 hours immersed in the beauty of nature, we will proceed back to Bucay.
