Budapest Opera House Guided Tour
Description
Experience the second largest stage in Europe on this guided exploration of the Hungarian State Opera House, an essential destination during your visit to Budapest!
Guided Tour of the Budapest Opera House
We will begin our guided exploration in the main hall of the Budapest Opera House, a stunning example of Neo-Renaissance architecture crafted by renowned Hungarian architect Miklós Ybl. This iconic structure, which dates back to the 19th century, was built under the patronage of Francis Joseph I of Austria, who specified that its size should not exceed that of the Vienna Opera House.
As we proceed on our journey through the Hungarian State Opera House, you will be captivated by its grand hall, adorned with rich oak paneling and striking red drapes. Following this, we will descend the prominent staircase, leading us directly to the auditorium.
The tour concludes with an exclusive chance to enjoy a 10-minute live performance by two talented opera singers, showcasing their artistry on the second-largest stage in Europe!
