Paragliding Experience in El Quindío
Your adventure begins at Plaza de Buenavista, located in the municipality of the same name within Quindío. After meeting, we will board our transportation and journey to the airstrip, situated at an altitude of 6,200 feet (1,890 metres) above sea level.
Upon arrival, our skilled pilots will provide a detailed briefing on the safety measures and essential guidelines for both take-off and landing during your flight. Once you’re equipped with your harness and helmet, it will be time to ascend into the sky!
During your exhilarating flight, which lasts between 10 to 15 minutes, you will soar over the Coffee Cultural Landscape, a picturesque mountainous area filled with coffee plantations, guaduas, and trumpet trees. As you travel along the 4-mile (7-kilometre) path, the pilot will inform you about the towns you fly over and share insights on how the residents adapt to the challenging terrain.
Weather permitting, you may even have the chance to control the paraglider under the guidance of the pilot!
Eligibility for the Activity
To participate in this paragliding adventure, weigh between a minimum of 40 pounds (18 kilograms) and a maximum of 209 pounds (95 kilograms). Please note that this experience is not suitable for pregnant individuals or those recovering from recent surgeries.

Important information
Please be ready at the Café Éxtasis in the Plaza Buenavista 10 minutes ahead of time. The uniformed pilots will be waiting for you there.
Important
- We recommend wearing long trousers and closed shoes (sandals and heels aren't suitable for this activity).
- Please remember to bring your ID card or passport on the day of the activity.
- The paragliding experience is for 1 person at a time. The paraglider can only carry the pilot and a companion.
- The paraglider doesn't have an engine, so this activity depends on the weather conditions at the time. Occasionally, we need to wait on the runway until the weather conditions allow a safe flight.
