Argentine Asado Experience + Workshop
Description
Discover the art of preparing Argentine asado through an engaging cooking workshop in Buenos Aires. In this experience, you will explore various meat cuts, their cooking durations, and the culinary secrets behind one of Argentina's signature dishes.
The Cultural Significance of Argentine Asado
More than just a meal, the Argentine asado represents a cherished tradition, a distinctive way of enjoying meat that has been nurtured over generations, and it serves as a profound symbol of gatherings with loved ones. Are you ready to immerse yourself in this Argentine culinary custom? Let's begin!
We will convene at the entrance of The Asado Experience, where our hosts will guide us through the rich history and intricacies of this emblematic culinary practice: the asado.
This workshop will take place in a charming historic family home that boasts over a century of heritage, recognized as one of the finest venues to craft your very own authentic Argentine asado. To kick off, you will delve into the world of various top-quality meat cuts, although the meat isn’t the sole star of this culinary show.
During the cooking session, you'll uncover the essentials of igniting the fire, creating embers, and mastering the optimal cooking times for each type of meat. To conclude the workshop, you will learn to prepare chimichurri, a zesty sauce designed to complement the meat.
Once the lessons are complete, we will gather around the table to savor an array of exquisite dishes. The meal will feature the renowned choripán, blood sausage, pork matambrito, sweetbreads, and a delectable main course of pork loin accompanied by roasted vegetables. All this will be perfectly paired with a glass of Argentine malbec wine, and to round off the feast, we will indulge in a dessert inspired by dulce de leche.
This exquisite culinary journey will conclude after approximately 3 hours of delightful tasting experiences.
