When reserving your spot, you will have the option to select from the following experiences:
Ferry + Historic Center Tour
You will embark from the port of Buenos Aires aboard the Colonia Express ferry at the specified time. The crossing will take around one hour and 15 minutes, before you arrive at the dock in Colonia del Sacramento.
Upon disembarking, you’ll participate in a 1.5-hour guided walking tour of the historic center of Colonia del Sacramento, celebrated as one of the most exquisite cities in Uruguay. This tour provides insights into the old neighborhoods, which are part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
You will appreciate the unique architectural style of the houses, demonstrating a blend of Spanish and Portuguese colonial influences. The itinerary also includes notable sights such as the iconic lighthouse beside the Bastión de San Pedro, the Basílica del Santísimo Sacramento, and the renowned Calle de los Suspiros.
Following your exploration of Colonia del Sacramento, you’ll enjoy some leisure time until it’s time to return on the ferry to Buenos Aires in the afternoon.

If your lunch is at the El Refugio restaurant, the menu features:
Main course, select one of the following:
- Grilled chicken thigh served with mixed salad
- Breaded chicken accompanied by fries
- Homemade pasta of the day available with one of these sauces: filetto, bolognese, or leek and mushroom cream
- Fish of the day paired with mashed potatoes
- Beetroot burger with a side salad
- Grilled pork bondiola accompanied by mashed potatoes
Dessert: options include caramel cream or flan, depending on the day's offering.
If you dine at the Finca del Sacramento restaurant, your menu will include:
Starter, choose one of the following:
- Braised meat empanada
- Mozzarella, confit tomato, basil, and black olive empanada
Main course, select one of these options:
- Chicken breast served with caponata and mashed potato
- Pork bondiola accompanied by sweet potato mash
- Fusilli sautéed with seasonal vegetables
- Fish of the day with pumpkin puree

Dessert, select one from:
- Flan with dulce de leche
- Pancake drizzled with dulce de leche

It is essential to note that regardless of your chosen option and start time, the return schedule is set for 6 pm.

Departure from Buenos Aires
This booking confirmation alone isn't valid for the trip. The local provider will email you a voucher that you'll need to present at check-in. You'll exchange this voucher for a ticket that'll grant you access to the transportation we'll be taking.
Important Info
You must be at the port of embarkation at least an hour and a half before the departure of the ship.
It's also mandatory to carry a valid passport or any other necessary documentation (depending on your nationality), as well as a reservation number.
You must be at the Madero Sur port terminal in Buenos Aires. You'll need to check in for boarding at the Colonia Express booth, located at the following address: Avenida Elvira Rawson de Dellepiane, 155.
Arrival in Colonia del Sacramento
If you have chosen the tour option that includes a tour of the historic district, once you dock at the port of Colonia del Sacramento, exit the customs area; you will find a Colonia Express counter on your left. Please go there, and one of the company's employees will provide you with the necessary instructions.
If you have chosen the option with lunch, please note that the meal will take place at either El Refugio or Finca del Sacramento restaurant. The restaurant will be assigned on the day based on availability.
Departure from Colonia del Sacramento
You must be at the Colonia Express port terminal, located at the following address in Colonia del Sacramento: Muelle de Ultramar.
