Buenos Aires, Iguazu Falls & Salta: 8 Day Journey

Day 1: Buenos Aires

Welcome to Argentina's vibrant capital! After your arrival, we will arrange your transfer from the airport or bus terminal to your hotel, where you can unwind following your trip. The remainder of the day is yours to stroll through the avenues of Buenos Aires at your own leisure.

Day 2: Buenos Aires

The second day is dedicated to uncovering the key attractions in Buenos Aires through a guided exploration of the city. You can select to join this tour at either 9:15 am or 2:15 pm. Upon pickup at the front of the Hotel Panamericano, we will journey along the renowned 9 de Julio Avenue, passing by the iconic Obelisk of Buenos Aires and the Teatro Colón.

Our adventure will lead us past the Metropolitan Cathedral and the Casa Rosada, or Pink House, set within Plaza de Mayo, before diving into the vibrant neighborhoods of Buenos Aires. We will visit San Telmo, Boca and Caminito, as well as the Puerto Madero district. Experience the genuine essence of the Argentine capital in the Palermo district.

The guided tour concludes in La Recoleta from Monday to Saturday. On Sundays, it wraps up in San Telmo to allow time for the antiques fair.

Day 3: Buenos Aires – Puerto Iguazu

After enjoying breakfast at your hotel, you will have some leisure time before we provide a transfer to the airport or bus terminal, based on your travel arrangements. Please note that the flight or bus to Puerto Iguazu will be at your own expense.

Upon arrival in Puerto Iguazu, you will be greeted and taken to your accommodation. The rest of the day is free for you to explore this northern Argentine city, situated near the borders of Paraguay and Brazil.

Day 4: Iguazu Falls (Argentinian side)

With energy from a hearty breakfast at your hotel, we will embark on an adventure to one of the most magnificent natural spectacles in the region—the Devil's Throat. This cliff is part of the Iguazu Falls, a collection of waterfalls boasting heights of up to 269 feet (82 meters), ranking among the largest in the world.

Prepare to be mesmerized as you gaze upon the Iguazu Falls from the Argentinian side! After capturing photos of these stunning natural cascades, we will take you back to your hotel in Puerto Iguazu around 4:30 pm to 5 pm.

Day 5: Iguazu Falls (Brazilian side)

Seeing the Iguazu Falls from both sides is a must! Following breakfast at your hotel, we will collect you and head across the border for a day on the Brazilian side of Iguazu Falls, or Foz do Iguaçu as known in Brazil. Enjoy the opportunity to take in more breathtaking views of the remarkable waterfalls from the nearby national park before returning you to your hotel in Puerto Iguazu.

Day 6: Puerto Iguazu - Salta

After a leisurely breakfast at your accommodation, we will take you to the airport or bus station, marking the start of your journey to Salta (travel costs to Salta are at your own expense). Once you arrive in the northern Argentinian city, the rest of the day is yours to discover the historic center at your own pace.

Day 7: Salta

With energy from your delicious breakfast, it’s time to explore the beauty of Salta! We will meet in the 9 de Julio Plaza to begin our three-hour guided tour. Marvel at the colonial architecture of the Cabildo de Salta, now a museum, alongside the stunning façade of the Cathedral, which rivals only the grandeur of the San Francisco Church.

The tour continues as we ascend the Cerro de San Bernardo, where you can admire panoramic views of the city. As we pass by the campus of the Catholic University, we will make our way to the nearby quaint town of San Lorenzo. Before returning to the hotel, you'll have the chance to visit a local crafts market for some shopping!

Day 8: Salta

After breakfast at your hotel, you will have free time for any last-minute sightseeing or shopping before we provide your transfer to the bus station or Salta airport, concluding your remarkable eight-day exploration of northern Argentina .

This eight-day itinerary includes seven nights' accommodation with breakfast. You can select from four different categories of hotels when booking:

Buenos Aires (2 nights):

Puerto Iguazu (3 nights):

• 4 Star Hotel: Village Cataratas or similar.

Salta (2 nights):

• Hostel: Coloria or similar. 
• 2 Star Hotel: Del Virrey or similar.
• 3 Star Hotel: American or similar 
• 4 Star Hotel: Alejandro I or similar.

Note on prices

• The quoted price is per person sharing a double room, except in hostels, where dormitories accommodate 6 or 8 guests. For triple or quadruple room requests, please reach out for a personalized quote and reservation.
• Once confirmed, the cost of accommodation is non-refundable. Additionally, other components of the tour may be refundable according to our terms, as outlined in our cancellation policy.
• This trip does not cover flights or bus transfers between cities. You will need to secure these tickets independently; however, local guides will assist you in purchasing them at each location.
