Tour Overview

At the specified hour, make your way to the Buquebus terminal in Puerto Madero, from which you will embark on a direct ferry to Uruguay.

After an approximately 2.5-hour voyage across the Rio de la Plata, you'll arrive at the port of Montevideo. Upon disembarkation, a representative will meet you at the pier to transport you to Barrio Sur and Palermo. These neighborhoods are renowned as the birthplace of Candombe, a captivating Afro-Uruguayan dance and musical genre recognized as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

As we stroll through the vibrant streets of these areas, you will participate in a Candombe workshop. During this engaging session, held in one of the districts, you'll learn about various drum types and master the art of playing them alongside diverse rhythms.

Following the workshop, we will visit a downtown restaurant to savor a delicious lunch. The menu features an appetizer, a main dish with options of meat, fish, or pasta, and a delightful dessert.

Afterward, we will embark on a panoramic tour of Montevideo. From the vehicle, you'll witness key landmarks of the Uruguayan capital, including the Obelisk to the Constituents of 1830, the Centenario Stadium, the scenic Rambla, and the iconic city sign. After completing this tour, there will be a stop at a bustling shopping center, allowing you approximately one hour for shopping.

In conclusion, we will return to the port of Montevideo to board the Buquebus ferry back to Buenos Aires. After another 2.5-hour journey, you’ll arrive at the Puerto Madero dock, marking the conclusion of this enriching 16-hour experience.
