Climb the Buenos Aires Obelisk
If you’re visiting Argentina's capital, this exclusive experience allows you to enter its most renowned landmark, a normally off-limits area, transforming a typical postcard view into an unforgettable experience.
Your journey starts with entry to the Obelisk, where a brief introductory talk will unveil its history, cultural importance, and intriguing information about its construction and significance in the identity of Buenos Aires. Following this, you will ascend via the elevator to the very top of the structure.
At the summit, you will be greeted by one of the most remarkable panoramic views of the city. From its four small windows, facing north, south, east, and west, you will admire Buenos Aires from a privileged perspective over 65 meters (213 feet) above the ground. Iconic avenues, historic buildings, elegant domes, and the vibrant urban life of the capital are laid out in every direction. Each window presents a unique view of the city.
The visit inside the Obelisk lasts approximately 15 minutes.
Available Time Slots
When you book, you can select from various time slots. Please be advised that your precise visiting time will be assigned and confirmed after completing your reservation:
- Day ticket at 9 am: you’ll receive a visiting time between 9 am and 12 pm, ideal for viewing the historic features of Avenida 9 de Julio bathed in morning light.
- Day ticket at 12:15 pm: you’ll be assigned a visiting time between 12:15 pm and 4 pm, perfect for taking in the architecture of Buenos Aires in full daylight.
- Day ticket at 4:15 pm: you’ll be assigned a visiting time between 4:15 pm and 7 pm, allowing you to see the changing light over the city.
- Sunset ticket at 7:15 pm: you’ll be assigned a visiting time between 7:15 pm and 8:45 pm, designed for enjoying the city lights as they come on and experiencing the vibrant nightlife of Buenos Aires from above.

Important information
On the day of your visit, you'll need to show your QR code ticket at the Obelisco de Buenos Aires box office (Av. Corrientes, C1035 Cdad. Autónoma de Buenos Aires, Argentina).
We'll let you know your exact visit time within your chosen window 48 hours before your selected date. Please remember that we can't take requests for specific times within your chosen slot.
Important Info
You'll receive an email with your QR code ticket and your assigned time. Depending on the option you picked, slots are assigned between 9 am and 7 pm, with entry every 15 minutes.
It's very important to show up at least 20 minutes before your assigned time. You'll need to have your QR code and your original ID ready to go.
Aditional Info
The monument has an elevator that fits up to 4 people. After the elevator ride, you'll need to climb 2 floors up some narrow stairs to reach the observation deck. Because space is limited, we can't always guarantee that everyone in your group will go up at the exact same time.
Access to the observation deck might be restricted if there's bad weather or unexpected security issues.
