On this Cárdenas tour, participants will delve into the Cuban tradition, engage with local culture, and discover two emblematic products of the nation: rum and cigars.

Tour Highlights

We will commence our journey at the designated time by gathering in front of Bar Happy, situated on Calle 25 in Cárdenas. Following this, a leisurely walk through the historic area will allow us to appreciate the works of a renowned Cuban artist located on Gastón Street. This stop will reveal Cuba's spiritual connections while exploring an outdoor gallery adorned with sculptures and photographs.

Continuing our exploration, we will wander through the streets of Cárdenas in pursuit of a refreshing guarapo and coffee. The vibrant homes will catch our eyes, and we’ll visit the iconic statue of Christopher Columbus along with Hotel la Dominica, where we will sample local rum.

Next, a delightful horse-drawn carriage tour will guide us through the charming avenues of Cárdenas en route to Happy Bar. There, participants will engage in a Cuban cooking class, learning to prepare a traditional meal. Additionally, we’ll discover the art of crafting Cuban cocktails while enjoying a game of dominoes as we await the completion of our culinary creations.

During the tasting session, you’ll learn to recognize three varieties of Cuban rums, noting their distinct colors, aromas, and characteristics, accompanied by their historical backgrounds. The process of cigar production will also be unveiled as you master the tasting technique under the guidance of one of the area’s most esteemed bartenders. Before concluding this flavorful journey, we will indulge in a chocolate liqueur, followed by a delightful full-bodied coffee.

To wrap up the experience, each participant will receive a certificate of participation, before returning to the starting point, concluding our enriching 5-hour excursion.
