Tour Overview

At the appointed hour, our team will collect you from your hotel situated in one of the locations outlined below. A comfortable minibus will transport us to a picturesque natural area on the city’s outskirts, where the horse riding experience around Jamao al Norte will commence.

Initially, we will provide helmets and offer a brief introduction to riding techniques. Following this, we’ll begin our trot alongside the Yasica River, allowing us to appreciate the vibrant flora native to this beautiful region. After approximately 20 minutes of riding, we will pause next to a crystal-clear pond to sample two local delicacies: artisan cheese and rodao, a traditional biscuit.

We will then remount our horses for a two-hour trek into the verdant forests of the Dominican Republic, where we may encounter various bird species such as hummingbirds, woodpeckers, and nightingales. Around midday, our journey will lead us to a community by the riverside for a delightful lunch consisting of rice, beans, chicken, salad, and beverages.

Once we finish our meal, there’s an option to either resume our ride or take a moment to enjoy a refreshing swim. After this delightful time with the horses, we will make our way back to the pick-up point in Jamao al Norte, concluding a total experience of approximately 5-10 hours.
