Bay of Cádiz Catamaran Tour
Description
Experience the remarkable historical castles, fortresses, and city walls of southern Spain from a different vantage point. Embark on this catamaran excursion in the Bay of Cádiz, where you'll witness noteworthy landmarks such as the Castle of San Sebastián and the Baluarte de San Antonio from the water.
Options for the Tour
When making your reservation, you will have the choice of two distinct experiences. Both tours commence from the Bay of Cádiz and feature a catamaran trip complete with pre-recorded commentary in English. Below are the specifics for each option:
Catamaran Tour Without Swimming (1 Hour & 15 Minutes)
At the appointed time, our gathering point will be the Port of Cádiz, where the catamaran will be ready to embark on our journey across the bay. Depending on weather conditions, we will navigate either north or south.
If we proceed towards the northern area of the Bay of Cádiz, passengers will have the opportunity to view the walls of San Carlos, as well as the bastions of Candelaria and San Felipe, along with the Castle of San Sebastián and other significant historical sites. Constructed between the 16th and 18th centuries, these structures reveal the strategic significance of this region through the ages. Additionally, from our vessel, we can catch a glimpse of the Iglesia del Carmen, a beautiful church featuring Baroque architecture typical of Cádiz.
If we opt to sail toward the southern sector of the Bay of Cádiz, we will encounter further defensive landmarks, such as the Fuerte de Matagorda and the Baluarte de San Antonio, eventually reaching the shipyard. We will then glide beneath the Constitution of 1812 Bridge, where insights about this major modern engineering feat in Europe will be shared.
Our boat journey concludes as we return to the dock after a delightful 1 hour and 15 minutes on the water.
Catamaran Tour With Swimming (2.5 Hours)
Choosing this option allows you to soak in the beauty of the Bay of Cádiz while also taking a break for a delightful swim. You can enjoy sliding down the boat's slide or bouncing on the giant mats. This will certainly be a memorable addition to your experience!
The excursion wraps up at the starting point after an enjoyable 2.5 hours.
