Day Pass: Caen Mémorial Museum Ticket + Normandy Landing Tour
Description
The Day Pass provides access to the Caen Mémorial Museum along with a D-Day tour, allowing you to delve into the historical sites of the Normandy landings.
Components of the Day Pass
This Day Pass consists of a D-Day tour and entry to the Caen Mémorial Museum. Below is an overview of what you can expect from each part:
D-Day Tour
Your journey begins on the chosen day of your reservation. We will gather at the entrance of the Caen Mémorial Museum as scheduled, and from there, a minibus will transport us to significant locations related to the Normandy Landings. This operation, which occurred on June 6, 1944, marked a pivotal moment during the Second World War.
As part of this tour, we will initially visit Pointe du Hoc, a crucial cliff in the Normandy assault. After exploring its historical significance, we will proceed to Omaha Beach, where remnants from that era can still be observed.
Our last stop will be Colleville-sur-Mer, home to the Normandy American Cemetery. After approximately five hours, we will return to the Caen Mémorial Museum.
Admission to Caen Mémorial
The Day Pass also provides entry to the Caen Mémorial, where you may explore the exhibits at your own leisure, without a guided experience.
This museum is dedicated to the Second World War, the Normandy Landings, and the Cold War. Your admission covers both the temporary exhibition and the permanent collections, which showcase a diverse array of weapons, uniforms, vehicles, maps, propaganda materials, and other artifacts.
