Excursion to Barumini and Giara di Gesturi

Our journey begins at 9 am at 76 Largo Carlo Felice in Cagliari. Join us as we embark on an exploration of Sardinia!

In a little over an hour, we will arrive at Giara di Gesturi, a remarkable plateau located in the heart of the island. Here, you will be greeted by a stunning Mediterranean panorama, home to the region's iconic wild horses, which represent the spirit of Sardinia.

After some leisure time to enjoy lunch independently, we will continue our adventure towards Barumini. This site is recognized as Sardinia's premier archaeological treasure, known for its intricate layout that leaves many visitors in awe. This historical village, dating back to 1400 BC, offers a glimpse into the fascinating Nuragic civilization.

Next, we will visit the Casa Zapata Museum, a remarkable 16th-century establishment that showcases an extensive array of archaeological artifacts from the Nuragic period.

Finally, we will journey back to Cagliari, with an expected return to the original meeting point by 4 pm.
