Tour Options
Upon booking, you'll have the choice between two distinct experiences:
Complete Daintree National Park Tour
At the scheduled time, we will collect you from your accommodation using a specialized off-road vehicle and begin our journey along the picturesque Great Barrier Reef Drive, heading toward the UNESCO World Heritage designated Daintree National Park.
Following a light snack, we'll embark on a 1-hour Daintree River cruise. This excursion provides an opportunity to observe the region's remarkable wildlife, including the estuarine crocodile, a dominant predator that thrives in one of the most biodiverse mangrove habitats globally.
Once back on solid ground, we'll traverse the Alexandra Range deeper into the ancient rainforest. Here, accompanied by our local guide, a boardwalk tour begins, where we’ll look out for the rare Southern Cassowary and the ancient Boyd's Rainforest Dragon. As we explore, ancient ferns, towering palms, and impressive woody vines reveal themselves, while vibrant epiphytes, climbing plants, and orchids adorn the lofty trees. Below, the forest floor is rich with mosses, invertebrates, and fungi, highlighting a complex ecosystem that has evolved over approximately 180 million years.
Lunch will be served in this serene rainforest ambiance, featuring tea, coffee, and a seasonal fruit platter, along with the possibility for a refreshing swim in the rainforest. Be on the lookout for jungle perch, saw-shelled turtles, and the striking blue Ulysses butterfly.
Our next stop will be Cape Tribulation beach, known locally as Kalkajaka, revered by the Kuku Yalanji people for over 50,000 years. This unique location is the only part of the world where two UNESCO World Heritage sites meet, where the rainforest and reef converge.
The day wraps up with a tropical fruit ice cream made from 100% locally sourced ingredients, followed by a cable ferry ride back across the Daintree River before we return you to your lodging.
Finally, we will drop you back after a journey lasting approximately 8-11 hours, depending on your hotel’s location.

Your guide will take you on a stroll through this captivating rainforest, revealing the wonders of one of the planet’s oldest tropical forests.
Next, a 1-hour Daintree River cruise will immerse you in this incredible wildlife environment, inhabited by diverse birds, tree snakes, unique plant life, and the infamous estuarine crocodile.
At noon, we will relish a tropical lunch set in the rainforest at Heritage Lodge, overlooking the sparkling waters of Cooper Creek.
The journey continues to Cape Tribulation, where you can walk along the famed rainforest beach and enjoy the views of the coastline and coral reef from the Kulki Lookout.
Before returning, we will make a stop at Daintree Ice Cream Company for an indulgent afternoon cup of exotic fruit ice cream, crafted from produce grown in their own orchard. Gluten-free and dairy-free options are also available.
