After collecting you from your accommodation in Cairo or Giza, we will head towards the historic center of one of Africa's largest cities.

Your journey will commence at the Cairo Citadel, a grand medieval stronghold that stands as the city's most recognized non-ancient structure. Inside, we’ll admire the stunningly adorned Mohamed Ali Mosque, famed for its soft white stone, often referred to as the alabaster mosque.

Continuing from the fortress, we will venture to the Khan el-Khalili market, known as the most renowned market in Cairo, where its winding pathways resemble an authentic open-air museum. Here, Khan el-Khalili is the ideal spot for purchasing keepsakes and replicas of ancient Egyptian artifacts.

We'll pause for lunch after exploring the market, enjoying a selection of salads alongside a main dish served with rice and vegetables. To finish, a refreshing fruit salad will be offered as dessert.

In the afternoon, we'll dedicate an hour and a half to visiting the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square, which is among the globe's preeminent museums focused on Pharaonic culture. We will encounter the Narmer Palette, impressive statues including that of Amenhotep III, along with an extensive collection of sarcophagi and jewelry. It is worth mentioning that this museum differs from the New Egyptian Museum.

As we navigate through Coptic Cairo, one of the city's most distinct neighborhoods, we will visit Al-Muallaqa, or the hanging church, which is built upon the ruins of the ancient Babylon tower. Finally, we will conclude our tour at the church of Saints Sergius and Bacchus, commonly known as the cave church, where the Holy Family sought refuge after their arrival in Egypt.
