Details of the 11-Day Tour

Day 1: Arrival in Cairo & Flight to Luxor

Welcome to the bustling city of Cairo! Upon your arrival, we will assist you with your visa, ensuring a smooth transition to your flight to Luxor. This short one-hour flight connects you to the fascinating landscapes of Luxor. Once landed, enjoy a motorboat ride to the banks of the majestic Nile, setting the stage for an all-inclusive 4-night cruise experience.

Day 2: Luxor - Edfu

Awake to the stunning hues of sunrise in Luxor – a visual feast best appreciated from the vessel's deck. The cruise ship will dock along the eastern bank, where you will embark on a guided exploration of Karnak Temple. This historical marvel will draw you into the depths of its exciting past. Your journey continues with the Luxor Temple, a visit to the towering Colossi of Memnon, and the awe-inspiring Hatshepsut Temple. Afterward, a delightful lunch on board awaits as we set sail toward Edfu.

Day 3: Edfu - Kom Ombo - Aswan

The Horus Temple in Edfu reveals age-old mysteries about the falcon god. This archaeological visit on the Nile’s west bank offers a glimpse into Egypt's enigmatic past. Our journey continues with a visit to Kom Ombo on the eastern bank, where you can marvel at the Sobek and Haroeris Temples. We will then set off for the southern city of Aswan.

Note: In Edfu, transportation will be provided via horse-drawn carriage. Should you prefer another mode of transport, please inform the guide a day in advance.

Day 4: Aswan

Devote this day to discovering the enchanting Philae Temple on its island, accessed via an Egyptian felucca. Explore the many hidden wonders of this UNESCO World Heritage Site before returning to the cruise for your next adventure.

Day 5: Aswan - Abu Simbel - Lake Nasser

Following breakfast, the Nile cruise comes to an end, but your adventure continues. Begin with a scenic drive to the symbolic Abu Simbel Temple, where monumental statues of Ramses II guard the entrance. The remarkable carvings of the Nefertari Temple are equally impressive. After some leisure time in the afternoon, enjoy a dinner accompanied by a sound and light performance at Abu Simbel.

Your day culminates with the start of a 3-day cruise on Lake Nasser.

Day 6: Lake Nasser

Your journey on Lake Nasser begins with a visit to Qasr Ibrim, a citadel overlooking the waters. Following this, you will explore the Amada Temple, which is noted as the oldest Egyptian ruin in Nubia. The day concludes with a visit to the Derr Temple and the historical remains of the tomb of Pennut, a significant governor during Ramses IV's era (12th century BC). His rich history will guide us back to the ship.

Day 7: Lake Nasser

Continuing our all-inclusive cruise, we head towards Wadi el Sebowa to visit the mysterious Dakka and Mahrakka Temples. After an enlightening experience, we return to the boat for lunch and then make our way back to Aswan.

Day 8: Lake Nasser - Aswan - Cairo

Your day starts with a visit to the Kalabsha Temple island to explore the remains of the Kertasi Temple, where legends abound. After the tour, we will travel to Aswan's airport to catch your flight to Cairo. In just an hour and a half, you’ll arrive back in the capital, where a hotel stay awaits until the next day.

Day 9: Giza, Memphis, & Cairo

Post breakfast, we'll proceed to the magnificent Giza Pyramids. This is a highlight of your journey, where the grand Cheops, Kefren, and Mycerinos mausoleums stand tall. You’ll venture inside the second pyramid to uncover the elaborate funeral traditions of ancient pharaohs, along with a visit to the iconic Great Sphinx of Giza.

After an engaging 3-hour guided tour of Giza, a visit to a papyrus school explains the fascinating process behind this ancient craft. Following this, enjoy a break for lunch at a local eatery before heading to the necropolis of Saqqara to see the Zoser pyramid. Your day wraps up with dinner in a Cairo restaurant before retiring to the hotel.

Day 10: Cairo

Immerse yourself in a sightseeing tour of Cairo, where you will visit the Grand Egyptian Museum. Here, marvel at unparalleled treasures from ancient Egypt, including the famed funerary mask of Pharaoh Tutankhamun, discovered in 1922 by renowned archaeologist Howard Carter.

Our tour continues through iconic locations such as the Coptic Quarter, the Citadel of Saladin, and the Alabaster Mosque, creating an unforgettable experience in the Egyptian capital, complete with lunch and dinner at local venues!

Day 11: Departure from Cairo

Three hours prior to your flight, we will escort you to the airport in Cairo for a smooth check-in and boarding process.

To participate in this extensive tour, simply arrange a round-trip flight to and from Cairo. Make sure to arrive on your scheduled tour date to enjoy the full 11 days, as everything else is taken care of.

Departure Days

The direct flight between Cairo and Luxor is operational only on Mondays. Therefore, if you select Monday as your departure, the itinerary will follow the outlined schedule.

Should you decide to arrive on a Friday, for instance, your schedule will shift: starting with three nights in Cairo, then a three-night cruise on Lake Nasser, and concluding with a four-night journey on the Nile, wrapping up in Luxor where we will arrange your return to Cairo Airport.

Based on your chosen arrival day, it’s possible to visit Cairo first or to embark on the cruise beforehand.

Note: In Aswan (where the boat departs on Wednesdays and Fridays), you have the option to spend a night at a hotel before returning to the cruise ship the following morning.

Price Information

• The stated price is per person in a shared double room or cabin. Solo travelers will incur a single supplement.
• For groups of 3, a double room with an extra bed will be provided. A separate room for the third person will incur an additional cost.

High Season

From December 20th to January 2nd (Christmas) and during Easter, cancellations will not be eligible for refunds. Additionally, the order of the itinerary may change during these peak periods.
