Details of the 11-Day Tour

Day 1: Arrival in Cairo & Flight to Luxor

Welcome to Cairo! Upon your arrival in the capital of Egypt, we will assist you in arranging your visa, enabling a smooth transition to your flight to Luxor. This short one-hour flight connects the two cities. Once you land, you’ll be transported via motorboat to the banks of the Nile, where an unforgettable 4-night cruise awaits you.

Day 2: Luxor - Edfu

The stunning hues of the sunrise in Luxor provide a breathtaking backdrop that we will enjoy from the ship’s deck. Our first stop is the eastern bank of the Nile for a guided exploration of Karnak Temple, rich in history and grandeur. We will also visit the Luxor Temple, the majestic Colossi of Memnon, and the impressive Hatshepsut Temple, whose size is astonishing. After our tour, we will return to the cruise for lunch as we continue toward Edfu.

Day 3: Edfu - Kom Ombo - Aswan

In Edfu, the mysteries of the Temple of Horus unfold as we uncover tales about the falcon god. Following this, we will sail to the eastern bank to visit the fascinating Kom Ombo, where the Sobek and Haroeris Temples stand. Our adventure on the Nile continues as we navigate toward the southern city of Aswan.

Important: Horse-drawn carriage rides will be used for transportation in Edfu. If alternative transportation is preferred, please notify your guide the day before.

Day 4: Aswan

Today’s highlight is a trip to the island housing the Philae Temple. We’ll embark on an Egyptian felucca to reach this UNESCO World Heritage Site and discover the incredible history hidden within its ruins before returning to the cruise.

Day 5: Aswan - Abu Simbel - Lake Nasser

After breakfast, the Nile cruise concludes, yet the adventure continues. We depart for the iconic Abu Simbel Temple, where the impressive statues of Ramses II impress alongside the masterpieces in the Nefertari Temple. After enjoying a leisurely afternoon, prepare for a dinner accompanied by a sound and light show at Abu Simbel.

The day culminates with the commencement of a 3-day cruise on Lake Nasser.

Day 6: Lake Nasser

Our journey begins at Qasr Ibrim, a fortress overlooking Lake Nasser, followed by a visit to the ancient Amada Temple, the most ancient ruin in Nubia. This day concludes with a tour of the Derr Temple and the remnants of the tomb of Pennut, a prominent figure from the era of Ramses IV, enriching our return to the ship.

Day 7: Lake Nasser

As we continue our cruise on Lake Nasser, we will head towards Wadi el Sebowa for visits to the intriguing Dakka and Mahrakka Temples. After a fulfilling exploration, we will return onboard for lunch and make our way to Aswan.

Day 8: Lake Nasser - Aswan - Cairo

We will visit the Kalabsha Temple to discover the remains of the Kertasi Temple, rich in history and myth. After our island exploration, we’ll transfer to Aswan’s nearby airport for a flight to Cairo. Within an hour and a half, we will arrive in Egypt’s capital before heading to a comfortable hotel for the night.

Day 9: Giza, Memphis, & Cairo

Following breakfast, we will set off to the renowned Giza Pyramids. One of the tour's highlights is the extraordinary mausoleums of Cheops, Kefren, and Mycerinos, where you can enter the second pyramid to explore the stunning funeral customs of ancient pharaohs. We will also see the iconic Great Sphinx of Giza.

After a 3-hour guided session at Giza, we’ll visit a papyrus school to discover its traditional crafting methods before taking a break for lunch at a local eatery. The day continues with a tour of the necropolis in Saqqara, where we will view the Zoser pyramid, followed by dinner in Cairo before returning to our hotel.

Day 10: Cairo

This day is dedicated to an extensive tour of Cairo, featuring the Grand Egyptian Museum, the Coptic Quarter, the Citadel of Saladin, and the striking Alabaster Mosque. Your unforgettable journey in the Egyptian capital will be complemented by lunch and dinner at local restaurants!

Day 11: Departure from Cairo

Three hours before your scheduled departure, we will transport you to the Cairo airport for a seamless check-in process.

Required Information

Your participation in this extended tour necessitates booking a round-trip flight to Cairo. It is essential to arrive on the day of your tour and return 11 days later. Throughout your stay, all details will be taken care of.

We will adjust the scheduled visits as best as possible, ensuring you enjoy every included experience within this Egypt tour package.

Departure Schedule

The direct flight from Cairo to Luxor included in this package operates exclusively on Mondays, so if you depart on a Monday, the itinerary will follow the specified order.

Choosing a Friday as your departure will alter the progression: starting with three nights in Cairo, followed by the three-night cruise on Lake Nasser, concluding with four nights on the Nile. Eventually, we will assist you in returning to Cairo Airport for your flight home.

Depending on your arrival day, you may visit Cairo first or start with the cruise instead.

All expenses are covered: visa fees, domestic flights, air-conditioned transport, accommodations, meals, guides, excursions, entrance fees (excluding the Great Pyramid of Keops), and gratuities.

Note: In Aswan (where the boat departs on Wednesdays and Fridays), there is an option to spend one night in a hotel, after which we will take you back to the cruise vessel the following morning.

Pricing Information

• The listed prices are per person in a double room or cabin. Individuals traveling alone will incur a single supplement.
• Groups of 3 will be accommodated in a double room with an extra bed. If a separate room is desired, a single supplement will apply.

Peak Season Notice

From December 20 to January 2 (Christmas) and during Easter, cancellations will not be eligible for refunds. It is important to note that during these peak periods, the itinerary may be subject to changes.
